The first, is in the Rudkin Room at Emsworth Museum. This combined art and photography exhibition features work 'Inspired by Chichester Harbour'. Work in a variety of mediums has been submitted by amateur artists and local schools. Sculptures from driftwood and found objects combine with woven fabrics and watercolours to form a colourful exhibition. Alongside the artworks, the winning photographs from this year's Chichester Harbour Photography Competition are on show. These include 15 photos that were shortlisted and can now be voted on for a further 'People's Prize'. The exhibition can be viewed each weekend in October. Opening hours are Saturday 10:30 - 4:30 and Sunday 2:30 - 4:30. The second permanent display is at the newly integrated Arts & Heritage Centre at Havant now called The Spring. A Coastal Heritage exhibition features two marine life tanks full of anemones, shrimps and sponges all of which live in our local coastal waters. Display panels provide information on the importance of the coastline for wildlife. Objects can be viewed at a huge scale under the Microeye microscope and newly installed display cabinets feature local sailing memrobilia and a shell collection. The area features lots of young ones to do as well as providing fascinating information and displays for all ages.
